NYFW with Runway 7!
An eco-friendly, sustainable fashion brand
Fashion is a platform and way to tell stories.
This generation wants to wear its values on its back.
We hope our clothes start more conversations about nature and climate change.
And inspire others to live a more sustainable lifestyle.
Why Broken Mirror?
Break Mirrors + Glass Ceilings
In fashion, we spend a lot of time in front of the mirror.
That’s why they’re symbols of vanity; but they can also mean self-reflection.
Breaking a mirror can mean 7 years bad luck—or in some cultures, it means evil spirits are leaving your house.
Mirrors are a very important tool in sustainability and earth science.
They reflect light, instead of absorbing it.
Glaciers for example, are often called nature’s mirrors.
Their glass-like surface reflects light back into space, instead of the ocean absorbing it as heat.
Glass is much more sustainable than plastic in terms of recycling.
It can be recycled forever without losing quality and does not break down into toxic microplastics.
Glass is transparent.
That’s really what the sustainability movement is all about—transparency.
Breaking mirrors can also mean glass ceilings and rising above.
By shattering illusions, you find clarity and enlightenment.
That’s why we say: when you break a mirror, you let in the light.
You break free and transform.
That’s exactly what’s happening in fashion and our world right now.
It's becoming more ethical and sustainable.

A Rose from Concrete
Collection Inspiration
At the heart of the movement, upcycling is about something thrown away—or “broken” and recreating it into something cool, unique and beautiful.
Inspired by a Tupac poem about a rose that blooms from in-between cracks in concrete.
Imagine walking down the sidewalk in a big city, like NYC, the concrete jungle.
Out of nowhere, you’ll stop and find a wild rose that grew in-between the sidewalk.
From crazy odds and the harshest of climates, it still bloomed.
It’s a message about unstoppable beauty and resilience.
It’s also an environmental statement, as storms are getting worse due to climate change.
Concrete is also a top contributor to global pollution and urban sprawl.
Are you a storm for good in the world? ...
