Lightning is a discharge of electricity.

There are three basic ingredients required for a thunderstorm to form: moisture, rising unstable air (air that keeps rising when given a nudge), and a lifting mechanism to provide the “nudge.”

The sun heats the surface of the earth, which warms the air above it.

A single stroke of lightning can heat the air around it to 30,000 degrees C. This extreme heating causes the air to expand explosively fast. The expansion creates a shock wave that turns into the booming sound wave, known as thunder.

Lightning causes thunder.

I was lightning before the thunder…

Our thunderstorm dress has storm nature photography printed directly onto our sustainable materials. The storm is also printed on each side of the dress.

We love that each yard of fabric is made from 13 recycled plastic bottles! We also love it because it’s so soft, comfortable, and fits like a glove!

EUREKA!!

To bloom, our Red Rose must overcome many storms.

First, comes extreme rain. Thunder and lightning.

Tornados, Hurricanes.

Even fire and ice....

From it all, she blooms. Like a Rose from

Concrete, she rises still.

Tornados and all...

A tornado forms from a large thunderstorm. Inside thunderstorms, warm, humid air rises, while cool air falls, along with rain or hail. These conditions can cause spinning air currents inside the cloud.

Although the spinning currents start out horizontal, they can turn vertical and drop down from the cloud becoming a tornado.

We designed a classic, asymmetrical wrap dress with recycled crushed velvet as the base of our tornado. We added different blues and ruching to create a funnel effect. Dark, navy blue velvet and royal blue ruching create fabric swirls.

Its thick shoulder wrap tops it off. The waist wrap ties it all together. It wraps around three times like a twister.
